Pay & Request FAQ
You can only cancel first-time payments with a pending status. The money doesn’t move until the other person accepts the first-time payment. You can cancel a pending payment if it hasn’t been accepted using the following steps:
You can’t cancel completed payments. If you want to edit a payment before it’s accepted, you can cancel and resend it.
If the payment is unclaimed, you can cancel it. Money doesn’t move until the other person accepts the first-time payment.
Payments can’t be canceled once they’ve reached the other person’s account. If the payment is complete, ask that person to refund you by requesting the same amount back including a memo.
Robinhood Support can’t reverse or refund payments for you.
If you think you’re the victim of a scam or fraud, report it immediately and contact Robinhood Support.
To avoid payment scams, make sure you only interact with people you know and trust. Check out How to identify and report scams for more information.
All first-time payments between you and another person will need to be confirmed by both the sender and receiver. Once you send money and the receiver accepts your payment, there’s no guarantee you’ll get it back. Alternatively, if you send a payment and the receiver doesn’t accept it, the money will be returned to you.

Yes, other people on the Robinhood app can find you on Pay & Request depending on your profile visibility settings. You can adjust these settings to control who can search for you. Check out your profile visibility settings for options and steps.
To dispute a payment, contact Robinhood Support. You can check the status of your dispute by selecting the transaction you disputed in your account.
If you used an external debit card to fund a payment, you'll still need to dispute the payment with Robinhood if you believe something went wrong. If you only dispute the payment with your bank and the dispute is decided in your favor, the deposited funds will be pulled from your Robinhood spending account and returned to your debit card. However, no funds will be recovered from your transfer to the other person unless you specifically dispute the payment with Robinhood.
The following are some of the reasons a transaction may fail:
If a payment fails, you may need to try again later. If you continue to have trouble, contact Robinhood Support.
